K-Pop's Newest Challenge: AtHeart Debuts as TITAN CONTENT's First Girl Group

A new player has entered the K-Pop scene, and it's starting its journey with a twist. TITAN CONTENT, a K-Pop startup, is making waves not just with its first girl group, AtHeart, but also with its unique origin story: it's the first K-Pop company to be founded and headquartered in the United States.

A Global Vision from the Start

On August 6, TITAN CONTENT held a founders' meet-up in Seoul to introduce the company and its upcoming debut group. The event was led by Chairman Han Se-min, a former CEO of SM Entertainment USA, who shared his vision for the company. He explained that after witnessing the global rise of groups like BTS and Blackpink, he felt it was time to establish a K-Pop company that could compete directly with American players from the entertainment industry's home turf.

Founded in Los Angeles in April 2023, TITAN CONTENT operates with a dual structure, having its main HQ and studio in Santa Monica, California, and a separate Korean office and studio in Seoul. This setup gives them a unique advantage, allowing them to leverage both American infrastructure and Korean K-Pop production expertise.

A Team of K-Pop Veterans and Rising Stars

The company's leadership team is packed with industry veterans. Joining Han Se-min are Kang Jung-ah, a CEO with a track record of discovering major groups like Girls' Generation and EXO, and Lia Kim, the Chief Performance Officer responsible for creating some of K-Pop's most iconic choreography for groups like TWICE and ITZY. These experts have joined forces with a shared goal: to build a company focused on pure music and artistry, and to create groups that can surpass the success of even the biggest names in K-Pop.

The leadership team expressed their commitment to focusing on the artists themselves, rather than creating multiple sub-labels. Their ambitious plan includes debuting AtHeart on August 13, followed by two more girl groups, a virtual boy group, two boy groups, and two solo artists by 2028.

AtHeart: K-Pop's Next Generation

TITAN CONTENT's first group, AtHeart, is set to debut on August 13. While the company is based in the U.S., the group will be making its official debut in Korea, a strategic decision to stay true to the "K" in K-Pop. The founders emphasized that their goal is to take the core elements of K-Pop and elevate them for the global market.

Lia Kim specifically highlighted the dance skills of one of the members, Arin, claiming her talent is so exceptional that she could even be an instructor at the famous 1MILLION Dance Studio. The members appeared at the event, expressing their excitement and nervousness for their upcoming showcase, promising
