The album's title, "Go Back to the Future," perfectly encapsulates its unique theme. It tells the story of the NCT Dream members as curious "time-traveling oddballs" who embark on a journey to find their most brilliant selves. The narrative sees them discovering a time machine—cleverly represented by the hoverboards from their debut track, "Chewing Gum"—which they use to travel through the past, present, and future.
